Rex Marco, M.D. is an Associate Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at The University of Texas Medical School at Houston, where he is also Chief of Spine Surgery and Musculoskeletal Oncology. Dr. Marco received his medical degree from the UCLA School of Medicine. He completed a musculoskeletal oncology fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York and later completed a spine surgery fellowship at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago.
Dr. Marco is the Chairman of the Musculoskeletal Tumor Board at The Methodist Hospital and the Comprehensive Combined Spine Fellowship. Dr. Marco serves as the Co-director of the Spinal Deformity Service at Shriners Hospital for Children and Chief of Musculoskeletal Oncology at Texas Children’s Hospital. Dr. Marco is also a clinical faculty member in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine and served on the faculty at The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center where he specialized in the treatment of spinal column tumors and orthopaedic oncology.
Dr. Marco is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
