Dr. McGarvey is an Associate Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and serves as Director of the UT Orthopaedic Residency Program. Dr. McGarvey received his medical degree from Thomas Jefferson University Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and completed residencies in General Surgery and Orthopaedic Surgery at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. He also completed a Fellowship in Foot and Ankle Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston.
Dr. McGarvey is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and serves as an assistant team physician for the NBA Houston Rockets.
