METHOD FOR PREVENTING ONSET OF RESTENOSIS AFTER ANGIOPLASTY EMPLOYING A RETNOID

 

Summary:  The present invention relates to a method for preventing onset of restenosis after angioplasty by administering a retinoid, which is preferably an agonist that is selective at the RAR receptor, i.e. a retinoid having a greater selectivity for the RAR receptor than the RXR receptor, or a pan agonist, i.e. a retinoid that may activate either the RAR or the RXR receptor.
