- Indication:
a compound used to stimulate in-vivo factor
VIII production in patients with mild or moderate hemophilia
A , in patients with von Willebrand disease, in patients with
abnormal platelet function due to uremia.
- Dosage:
the usual dose is 0.3-0.4 micrograms per 1 kg body
weight, in 50 ml NS, infused over 20-30 min, may be repeated
daily.
- Contraindicated:
in patients with von Willebrand's disease
type IIB since platelet aggregation may be induced.
