Residency

Welcome to the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine of The UTHealth Medical School.  We are proud of our residency program, which has been in existence since the early 1970’s and which has trained over 200 outstanding pathologists.  Our teaching hospitals provide a diverse patient population and exposure to a wide spectrum of human disease.  We invite you to explore our website, meet our people, and see what makes this such a fantastic place to begin your pathology career!
