Updated T. pallidum Sequence (Version gtp4.1) Available

Revised 17 July, 1998 Current Version: gtp4.1.seq

The Treponema pallidum subsp. pallidum (Nichols) genomic sequence is now complete, with a genome size of 1,138,011 bp. The DNA sequence in FASTA format (gtp4.1.seq), a listing of all predicted gene coordinates (gtp4.1coord.txt) and peptide sequences in FASTA format (gtp4.1.pep) are available. To save copies of these files on your computer, you may use the "Save as File" function on your web browser.

It is anticipated that new versions will be released periodically as corrections are made. As additional revisions are released, the sequence information will be provided a new version number.

The T. pallidum DNA and peptide sequence files may also be downloaded from the UT-Houston anonymous ftp server at utmmg.med.uth.tmc.edu/pub/t_pallidum.
