About version numbers
Beginning 6 February, 1998, T. pallidum genome sequences posted at this
site will be given version numbers starting with gtp1.1. As new versions
are posted, they will be numbered as follows:
First number changes indicate changes in the nucleotide sequence (e.g.,
changing from 1.1 to 2.1).
Changes in the second number indicate changes in annotation, ORF coordinates
and/or peptide sequences (e.g. 1.1, 1.2, ...).
