In 2005, a group of postdocs began to meet regularly to discuss career opportunities. Scientists from several professions were invited to speak about their careers. A number of postdocs wanted to form an association, to have a platform where postdocs could talk about their concerns and communicate with the University administration. In the spring of 2007, an effort has been made to get officially organized as an association.
