Dharini van der Hoeven, Ph.D. Postdoctoral Fellow Originally from Sri Lanka, I completed my undergraduate training at University of Colombo, following which my postgraduate education has taken me on a scenic (but very cold) route. I received an MS from Dalhousie University, Canada and PhD from Medical College of Wisconsin. Seeking warmer climes, I moved to Houston in January 2009 and joined the department of Integrative Biology and Pharmacology, where my work focuses on characterization of the structural components of Ras nanoclusters and to decipher the mechanisms responsible for regulating Ras signal output.

Aimalohi Esechie, PhD. Postdoctoral Fellow Department of Integrative Biology and Pharmacology The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston I am originally from Nigeria. I completed a master’s degree in Physiology at Penn State University and earned my doctorate from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. In December of 2008, I joined Dr. Guangwei Du’s lab here at UTHSC as a postdoc where my research focus is currently on lipid signaling and metabolism in breast cancer.

Hsin-Mei Chen, PhD. Postdoctoral Fellow Department of Neurobiology and Anatomy The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston Originally from Taiwan, I earned my PhD in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of Texas at Dallas in 2008 and started my postdoc here in October of the same year. My current research focuses on the molecular mechanism of learning and memory.
