PDA Postdoctoral Travel Grant Program Goal: A new travel award has been developed and is intended to support professional development of postdoctoral fellows at the UTHSC‐H. Funds will be awarded to provide financial support for postdoctoral fellows to present their work at National or International academic meetings. Amount: There are a total of five awards per year, each for $1000. The awards will be given twice a year. Three awards will be awarded in February and two awards will be awarded in July*. Review process: Awardees will be determined through a blind peer review process. A panel of five postdoctoral fellows under the supervision of Dr. John H. Byrne will review applications and the selection will be based on the description of research to be presented. Important Deadlines: First cycle: Reviewer application deadline‐ Nov. 30th, 2009 Abstract submission deadline‐ Jan. 15th, 2010 Award announcement‐ February 15th, 2010 Second cycle: Reviewer application deadline‐ May 30th, 2010 Abstract submission deadline‐ Jun. 15th, 2010 Award announcement‐July 15th, 2010
