On January 5, 2009 the NSF implemented a significant change in the Proposal and Award Policy and Procedure Guide. Specifically, all proposals that request support for postdoctoral researchers must include a description of the mentoring activities that will be provided for such individuals. Proposals that do not include a separate section on mentoring activities will be returned without review. Read the Summary.
The UTHealth Postdoctoral Training Program provides formal training in all areas cited in the NSF Guide. The Office of Postdoctoral Affairs has prepared a document of general mentoring information as well as a specific statement regarding the Postdoctoral Certificate Training Program to assist PI’s in preparing the new NSF section.
