Tribute to an Esteemed Colleague:

Ed Cacayorin, M. D.

From the desk of Susan D. John, M.D.:

It is with great sadness that I announce that our friend and colleague, Dr. Ed Cacayorin, passed away on December 20, 2008, after an accidental head injury. We have watched Ed’s valiant struggle to regain his voice during recent years, and it is heartbreaking to lose him so suddenly in this way.

Ed will be remembered by all who worked with him for his tireless work
ethic, his great compassion, and his unmatched dedication to his patients, his students, and his colleagues. His marvelous intellect and his vision for neuroimaging and neurointerventional services has been an inspiration to us all during his tenure on our faculty over the past 8 years. We will miss his wise counsel and his unwavering determination to save and improve the lives of patients with life-threatening brain diseases. He was a great man with a caring heart, and he will be missed by all whose lives he touched so deeply.
