A. Tc-99 perfusion study demonstrates diffuse intracranial activity without definition of the intracranial arteries due to late imaging.
B. Static anterior image demonstrating normal brain function excludes the diagnosis of brain death. Imaging with Tc-99m DTPA would not have allowed exclusion of this diagnosis, thus requiring repetition of the study at a later time.
