A. ECD flow study demonstrates absent arterial perfusion.
B. Static images demonstrate uptake in the superior sagittal sinus indicting the presence of venous flow (arrow). However, there is no evidence of brain metabolism. Thus, the clinical diagnosis of brain death is established despite venous activity.
