A. This case demonstrates the utility of static delayed and lateral imaging. ECD perfusion study demonstrates flow to the left cranium, which may represent intracranial flow in the distribution of the left MCA versus increased scalp perfusion via the left ECA (arrow).

B. Static immediate anterior image demonstrates focus of left hemispheric activity (arrow). Static delayed anterior image shows disappearance of the left hemispheric activity, indicating that it was scalp related (arrow). Static lateral images confirm the extracranial location of the activity by demonstrating no intracranial metabolism.
