Beasley Appointed to Texas Board of Licensure for Professional Medical Physicists
Charles Ward Beasley, Ph.D., of Bellaire is an assistant professor of Radiology for The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth). He is a member of the American Association of Medical Physicists, Society of Nuclear Medicine, American Public Health Association, and the National Chapter of the Health Physics Society. He is a volunteer of the UTHealth House Medics service project, a debate judge for the Bellaire Senior High School Forensics Tournament, and fundraiser for the Houston March of Dimes-March for Babies Walk. Beasley received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Houston, a master’s degree from Texas A&M University, a doctorate degree in Environmental and Occupational Health from The University of Texas School of Public Health, a part of UTHealth. In 2007, he received the Dean’s Teaching Excellence Award. His term will expire Feb. 1, 2017.
