PET Imaging Mini-Fellowship |

| GOAL: The PET Imaging Mini-Fellowship will teach the basic skills required for screening and evaluating patients for PET scans, preparations, protocol selection, performance of study, quality control, and interpretation. Most studies interpreted will have correlative imaging available. The course will fulfill the necessary requirements for State of Texas Certification, provided the Fellow demonstrates adequate interpretive skills. Studies include adult and pediatric oncologic and neurologic PET imaging. No CME credit is given for this program. | |||||||

| QUALIFICATION: The candidate must be American Board of Radiology or Nuclear Medicine certified. | |||||||

| EQUIPMENT: Posicam, CTI ECAT and ECAT HR; GE Discovery LS PET/CT | |||||||
| NEW PATIENTS: 10 - 15 per day | |||||||
| TEACHING FILE: 1000 cases on CD, Film, or Optical Disk | |||||||
| WORKING HOURS: 8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. | |||||||
