NIH Research Supplements

NIH Research Supplements provide faculty and trainees an opportunity to apply for salary (up to 30%) and research support for up to four years. The Supplements are offered to help select groups develop research expertise, and these groups include high school students, undergraduates, graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and faculty who are considered either underrepresented, disabled or wishing to re-enter research after a hiatus.

The Supplements must be linked with grants that have two or more years of funding remaining, and a list of eligible UTHSCH grants is included below.

NIH Research Supplements are available for:

Frequently Asked Questions - UTHSCH success rate and more...

Highlights of the program - PowerPoint presentation on key features of the program

At-A-Glance - Chart of eligibity requirements and application procedures
