The University of Texas Medical School at Houston (UTMS-H) Division of Geriatric and Palliative Medicine welcomes you to the TEXAS Training Excellence in Aging Studies website! In January, 2009, the D.W. Reynolds Foundation funded UTH to provide a competency-based approach to foster geriatric and palliative education at the medical student, resident, faculty and practicing physician level.
Welcome to TEXAS
The TEXAS Website has several important purposes:
- It provides a portal for other Reynolds’ grantees to access resources, materials, expertise of UTH faculty, information about UTH Reynolds projects, and links to key geriatric websites;
- It provides a centralized location for students, residents and other learners to access the educational projects, assignments, assessment instruments and content developed by UTH Reynolds faculty and staff;
- It promotes and markets UTH products developed as part of the UTH Reynolds Foundation grant award.
- It enables communication between faculty, students, staff and outside parties.
