Dr. Al-Azzeh has joined The University of Texas Medical School at Houston in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Cardiovascular Medicine as an Assistant Professor in August 2011. Dr. Al-Azzeh was recruited to be an integral part of the UTHealth comprehensive cardiac team that serves southeast Houston.
He earned his medical degree from the University of Jordan and completed his Internal Medicine residency at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. He then completed his general cardiology and Interventional Cardiology fellowships at Providence Hospital and Medical Centers in Southfield, Michigan.

His areas of expertise include the evaluation and management of coronary artery disease starting from outpatient risk factor modifications to advanced state of the art interventional coronary procedures. He also has special interest in the interventional management of peripheral arterial disease.
Dr. Al-Azzeh has a broad knowledge and extensive experience in general cardiology. He is board certified in Nuclear Cardiology, echocardiography, and is a testamur in the field of Cardiac Pacemakers.
