Dr. Mike Fallon, Division Director, is pleased to announce the growth of this division with the addition of new clinical faculty.
Dr. Drew DuPont, Assistant Professor of Medicine and gastroenterologist joined UTH Medical School on June 15, 2009, as the Director of Clinical Investigations in Gastroenterology and Director of the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Program. Dr. DuPont will see patients in the Digestive Disease Center and be attending gastroenterologist for the GI Consult Service.
Dr. Rajan Kochar, Assistant Professor of Medicine joined UTH Medical School on July 1, 2009. Dr. Kochar will see patients in the Texas Liver Center and be an attending on the in-patient hepatology service at Memorial Hermann Hospital.
Dr. Victor Machicao, Assistant Professor of Medicine and hepatologist and gastroenterologist joined UTH Medical School on May 11, 2009, as Medical Director of Liver Transplantation. Dr.Machicao will see patients in the Texas Liver Center and be attending hepatologist for the Hepatology Consult Service.
Dr. Ilan Nevah, Assistant Professor of Medicine joined UTH Medical School on February 1, 2009. Dr. Nevah will see patients in the Texas Liver Center, have a weekly Hepatitis C clinic at LBJ General Hospital and be an attending on the in-patient hepatology service at Memorial Hermann Hospital.
Dr. Larry Scott, Professor of Medicine and gastroenterologist returned to UTH Medical School on May 1, 2009, as Chief of GI Services at LBJ General Hospital. Dr. Scott will continue to see patients at the Digestive Disease Center (DDC) on Fridays and be attending gastroenterologist at LBJ during the other days.
Dr. David Wolf, Assistant Professor of Medicine and gastroenterologist joined UTH Medical School on July 1, 2009, as Director of Gastroenterology Out-Patient Clinical Program and Associate Program Director - Gastroenterology Fellowship. Dr. Wolf will see patients in the Digestive Disease Center and the UT Health Center at 6700 West Loop, South in Bellaire and be attending gastroenterologist for the GI Consult Service.
