Medical Genetics Bioinformatics
In the beginning of 2003, a bioinformatic team had been set up to assimilate emerging technologies. This team provides medical and biological information to university faculty and students. Recently, the team has set up an oracle-based laboratory information management system (LIMS) to provide a reliable, consistent and secure information system to users.
The projects that are on going:
- configure, modify, and maintaining the LIMS.
- provide statistics support to clinical and research groups.
- integrate patients samples with their research data.
- provide a business layer for university faculty and staff.
