UT Medical School and The Memorial Hermann-TMC Campus have launched the Physician Quality and Safety Academy. The Memorial Hermann System, of which the Texas Medical Center site is a part, was the sole recipient of th e2009 National Quality Healthcare Award. This honor is bestowed each year by the national Quality Forum in Washington, D.C. Now in its 2nd year and led by Dr. Eric Thomas of the Department of Medicine.
