FUNDING

The Center is funded by a 5-year, $7.2 million grant from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ). It is one of three AHRQ funded Centers of Excellence for Patient Safety in the U.S. including the University of Pennsylvania and Harvard. The Center also has support from numerous key leaders of The University of Texas System, the UT Health Science Center at Houston, and the Memorial Hermann Healthcare System.
