PI: E. Thomas
A randomized trial of incoming medical residents in pediatrics, family medicine, emergency medicine, and obstetrics/gynecology who are required to obtain certification for the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP). Participating residents were randomized to receive either the standard course in NRP or standard NRP plus teamwork training. At the end of the training, teams of 3 or 4 residents complete a video-recorded simulated resuscitation using a high-fidelity simulator. The study will evaluate whether teams who received teamwork training perform higher quality resuscitations than teams who did not receive team training.
