Family Medicine Inpatient Service Admission Policy

• ·        Team cap is 16 total, 8 per upper level resident on the weekdays
• ·        Team cap is 8 total on the Weekends
• ·         There is no cap on patients that are actively followed by Dr. Ojeih or Dr. Olutimehin in Primary Medicine clinic or those that arrive in the ER with a referral from one of the following HCHD satellite clinics:  Acres Home, Aldine, Baytown, Settegast and Squatty Lyons.
• ·        FP will take 4 new admissions daily between the hours of 4am and 8pm.
• ·        Clinic patients will be picked up with first priority, then patients with no doctor.
• ·        Bounceback policy applies to any patient admitted to the LBJ Family Medicine Service within the last 6 months that has NOT been recently admitted to an Internal Medicine Service during the current month.
• ·        4am-8pm time frame applies to patients with no doctor that are new to the Family Medicine Service.  The time cap DOES NOT apply to bouncebacks or clinic patients of Dr. Ojeih or Dr. Olutimehin.
• ·        Dr. Ojeih is the Chief of Service, his office number is 713-566-4635.
