Class I Indications for Surgery:
- Severe
Aortic Stenosis with symptoms (i.e., Syncope, Angina, Dyspnea )
- Severe
Aortic Stenosis with LVEF < 50%
- CABG or
other Aortic Surgery and Severe Aortic Stenosis
Asymptomatic Severe Aortic Stenosis (without Class I
Indication)
-Exercise Testing: looks for symptoms, inadequate
BP response, or arrhythmias
Not widely accepted and has risks
- Serial Echocardiograms (see table), BNP (not accepted)
