About Fangyi Zhang, M.D.

Dr. Fangyi Zhang specializes in complex spinal surgery, minimally invasive spinal surgery, and general neurosurgery.

Dr. Zhang received his medical degree from the Capital University of Medical Sciences in Beijing, China. He completed neurological surgery residencies both in China and the United States, serving as Chief Resident at the University of Washington in Seattle. Dr. Zhang also completed a Joint Spine Fellowship Program of Orthopedic and Neurological Surgery at the University of Washington in Seattle.

Dr. Zhang heads a team of clnical and administrative professionals who collaborate to provide your care. His clinical assistant, Brandy Chandler, will most likely be your first contact. She handles Dr. Zhang's patient scheduling and answers non-medical questions. Susanna Girocco is Dr. Zhang's physician assistant. She helps provide care, can answer medical questions and assists with prescription renewals.
