Andrea Harbison is a genetic counselor and clinical instructor in the Division of Medical Genetics at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston. She received her MS in Medical Genetics from the University of Cincinnati. She does outreach prenatal genetic counseling at City of Houston and Harris County clinics throughout the greater Houston area. She is also the study coordinator for Tuberous Sclerosis research conducted by Dr. Hope Northrup and helps staff the Tuberous Sclerosis clinic. Andrea is also involved with the UT Genetic Counseling Program. She is a clinical supervisor and also helps facilitate coursework. Andrea's main interests are health literacy, the Surgeon General's Family History Initiative, bilingual genetic counseling, multicultural issues, and continuing to learn Spanish.
