General Pediatrician
A full-time position is available in our primary teaching hospital Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital.
- Job Description: Direct outpatient care and supervision of nurse practitioners in the High-Risk Follow-up Clinic. This clinic provides primary care for a panel of high-risk patients who were discharged from the NICU. The clinic also provides medical care and follow-up evaluation of patients enrolled in clinical studies in the NICU. This position also involves some direct inpatient care of Level 2 patients. As an academic Neonatology Division, we are actively involved in clinical research and quality improvement. All faculty are expected to participate in these activities. We have been a member of the NICHD Neonatal Research Network since 1998. Our NICU practices family-centered care and emphasizes evidence-based practice. Depending on applicant interest and qualifications, this position could include participation as an investigator in clinical research studies in the Follow-up Clinic or NICU.
- Qualifications: Board eligibility or certification in Pediatrics. Eligibility for Texas Medical License.
