The University of Texas-Houston Medical School/Baylor College of Medicine Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Alliance is a unique and successful arrangement between the PM&R departments of two medical schools. Since 1996 there has been a sharing of resources in education and research. The PM&R residents from both schools are ranked the same on the match, receive the same clinical training and lectures with the Alliance faculty and an Alliance certificate upon completion of residency requirements.
The training for both programs is exactly the same. We have one educational program, one didactic schedule, one rotation, one vacation and one call schedule for the entire UTHMS/BCM PM&R Alliance Residency Program. All our residents are assigned to rotate at the affiliated hospitals of both the University of Texas-Houston Medical School and Baylor College of Medicine. In addition, residents from either school are eligible to serve as chief residents of the entire UTHMS/BCM PM&R Alliance Residency Program.
Resident Coordinator: Kiesha Sloan, 713-797-5770
