The Anxiety Disorders Research Program (ADRP) is associated with both the UT Department of Psychiatry Adult Clinic and the Affective Disorders Research Center.  The ADRP provides assessment and treatment for patients with a variety of anxiety and related disorders, including:

  • panic disorder
  • obsessive compulsive disorder
  • trichotillomania
  • generalized anxiety disorder
  • phobias
Services are provided by psychology residents who work under the supervision of Dr. Melinda Stanley, the program director, and treatment is based on cognitive behavioral interventions that have been demonstrated effective in the scientific literature.  Pharmacological treatment also is available from UT psychiatry faculty and residents working in the Adult Clinic.

In addition to providing clinical services to patients suffering from anxiety and related conditions, the ADRP also is involved in research projects which provide evaluation and/or treatment to qualified participants.  At present, the following two studies are ongoing:

RADAR Program
