Biography:
Dr. Ronald H. Kerman's bibliography currently includes 360 abstracts and presentations and nearly 200 published works, including 22 book chapters. Dr. Kerman received his PhD from the University of Illinois and held positions at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia and the Loyola Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago before coming to the university in 1977 when the transplantation center opened. Immunology has flourished since Dr. Kerman first became interested in the specialty in 1964. Under his leadership, the Histocompatibility and Immune evaluation Laboratories have flourished, performing a total of 47,030 tests from 1995-1997. The laboratories' comprehensive range of services and quality of performance place it among the world's top transplant immunology facilities.
