The Multimedia Scriptorium provides workshops to assitant faculty and staff in the design, creation, publication and use of multimedia educational materils and other scholarly works. Hardware and software resources are also available to support the creation of these works. Workshops as well as the hardware and software resources of the Scriptorium are provided at no cost.


Workshops

Creation of Multimedia Scholarly Works - An Overview

This two hour workshop provides an overview of what is required to produce multimedia educational materials and other scholarly works. Major topics include design considerations and the definition and creation of HTML documents. Additional references provide information about creation tools, copyright issues and HTML syntax. (Offered upon request.)

Design of Multimedia Scholarly Works

This two hour workshop provides principles for the design of multimedia educational materials and other scholarly works to be utilized via the World Wide Web. Topics include designs appropriate to the content being communicated; and, the appropriate usage of hypertext, images, image maps, animation, audio, video and interactive processes. Issues relating to user hardware and network requirements are also considered. (Offered upon request.)
