Brain Awareness Week

The Houston Chapter per se does not organize BAW activities, but many of its members sponsor activities. For example, our laboratory conducted a 2 hour laboratory tour and demonstration for a class of grade-school children. The Neuroscience Research Center (NRC) (Dr. John H. Byrne, director) at The University of Texas Medical School at Houston sponsors an open house for young people at the local of Museum of Health and Medical Science, and an annual public forum for discussions related to neuroscience and mental health.
