Transportation
The Houston Metropolitan Transit Authority (METRO) provides various forms of scheduled public transportation to, and within, the Texas Medical Center from locations within the City of Houston. Private taxi-cab and shuttle services offer door-to-door transportation from the aiports and elsewhere in the greater metropolitan area.

Airport Direct
METRO's Airport Direct provides service from George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) Terminal C to downtown Houston – a 30 minute, non-stop trip, leaving every 30 minutes, for just $30 round trip (or $15 one way)!
The METRO Airport Direct runs daily, heading northbound from the Airport Direct Passenger Plaza (815 Pierce, across from the Downtown Transit Center) to IAH from 5:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and southbound from IAH Terminal C to downtown from 6:10 a.m. to 8:40 p.m. Bus and rail services connect the Medical Center and downtown.

METRORail

METRO's light rail system runs from UH Downtown, just north of downtown, to the Fannin South Park & Ride just outside the south loop (610). The Memorial
Hermann Hospital / Houston Zoo stop is on Fannin St., right in front of Memorial Hermann Hospital and very close to the
University of Texas Medical School.

Texas Medical Center Shuttle Buses
METRO provides bus service between the Smith Lands (Red Shuttle), South Extension (White Shuttle) and South Main (Blue Shuttle) parking lots and the Texas Medical Center.
There are four campus shuttle bus services which provide transportation between components of the Texas Medical Center. METRO also operates a circular trolley bus route which links different areas of the Texas Medical Center campus.

METROLift
METROLift is a transportation service for persons with a disability who cannot board, ride, or disembark from a regular METRO fixed-route bus, even if that bus is equipped with a wheelchair lift or ramp.

Numerous taxi cab companies provide door-to-door service to locations within the Texas Medical Center.
