Joan M.C. Bull, M.D.
Professor of Medicine, Director Center for Hyperthermia Cancer Treament
Dr. Bull is an experienced medical oncologist, Director of the Oncology Clinic at Memorial Hermann Hospital, and founder
of the Center for Hyperthermia Cancer Treatment. She reviews the preliminary tests of all prospective hyperthermia patients, supervises their thermochemotherapy treatments once accepted to a protocol, and coordinates all clinical care through the team of specialists associated with the hyperthermia program.

Dwight Oliver, M.D.
Assistant Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, Director Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory
Dr. Oliver reads all the histopathology slides of candidates for thermochemotherapy.

Stephen M. Koch, M.D.
Clinical Associate Professor, Critical Care
Dr. Koch is the Medical Director of the Clinical Observation Unit at Memorial Hermann Hospital. He is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Critical Care. Dr. Koch evaluates each hyperthermia candidate before his or her first thermochemotherapy treatment and supervises the anesthesia administered during the treatment. He and his staff are always available to see patients and answer clinical questions during thermochemotherapy treatments.

Michael Redwine, M.D.
Associate Professor of Radiology, Chief of Body CT
Dr.Redwine has been affiliated since 2005. He reviews any radiological studies a patient has had performed prior to entering a hyperthermia protocol, and reads and interprets all radiological studies performed in conjunction with thermochemotherapy treatments.

Julian Morell, R.N., O.C.N.
Mr. Morrell is a board certified Oncology nurse. His high spirits and competency add a great deal to the care of our patients. In addition to his care of our general oncology and hematology patients,
he also interviews and actively cares for the thermo-chemotherapy candidates, and administers protocol chemotherapy as called for before and after their actual thermotherapy sessions.

Madelene Ottosen, R.N., M.S.N.
Mrs. Ottosen is the Nurse Manager of the University Clinical Research Center. She has directed UCRC nursing care with efficiency and pizzazz for more than 10 years. In addition to her supervisory roles in the UCRC, Mrs. Ottosen serves as a backup nurse for the thermochemotherapy treatments.

Theresa Dancsak, R.N.
Ms.Dancsak is the Hyperthermia Nurse Specialist. Her background includes many years experience as a Critical Care nurse. Mrs. Dancsak currently specializes both in critical, and clinical research care. Mrs. Dancsak begins her interaction with hyperthermia candidates by speaking to them on the telephone and educating potential candidates about the therapy. When candidates come to our clinic, Theresa sees and evaluates them prior to treatment with a friendly calming smile. She cares for them expertly throughout the six-hour treatment sessions.

Mary Brimer , R.N., O.C.N.
Ms. Brimer is a board certified Oncology Nurse and is the Clinical Director of the Medical Oncology Clinic. In addition to her supervisory role in the Oncology Clinic, and care of our general oncology and hematology patients, she interviews and cares for the thermochemotherapy candidates. She also administers protocol chemotherapy as needed prior to and after the actual thermotherapy sessions.

Ms. Dodd is a critical care Nurse who takes care of oncology and hematology patients in the Clinical Research Center. She interviews and cares for thermochemotherapy candidates and also administers protocol chemotherapy as specified prior to and after the actual thermal therapy sessions.

Ms.Willis is a critical care Nurse who takes care of general oncology and hematology patients in the Clinical Research Center. She interviews and cares for thermochemotherapy candidates and also administers protocol chemotherapy as specified prior to and after the actual thermal therapy sessions.

Sandra Seanez
Ms. Garza is the Financial Manager of the Memorial-Hermann Hospital Medical Oncology Center and the primary contact for many patients. In addition to her management responsibilities, she verfies insurance coverage for thermochemotherapy candidates and schedules the diagnostic tests required to establish eligibility for clinical thermal therapy protocols.

Gracy Garza
Ms. Garza is the Front Desk Clerk of the Memorial-Hermann Hospital Medical Oncology Center and a primary contact for many patients. She helps thermochemotherapy candidates with communications and any other problems.

Julie Medina
Ms. Medina is the Oncology Pharmacy Specialist responsible for preparation of all chemotherapy. In addition to her general pharmacological knowledge and expertise, she attends our patient conferences, and is very familiar with the chemotherapy used in the thermochemotherapy treatments as well as the thermochemotherapy candidates we treat.
