Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital

Children’s Memorial Hermann HospitalChildren’s Memorial Hermann Hospital has been serving the community for over 20 years and is the primary teaching hospital for the pediatrics and obstetrics/gynecology programs at The University of Texas Medical School at Houston. Our team of doctors, nurses, therapists and other allied healthcare professionals are focused on the specialized needs of women and children with an emphasis on quality, customer service and leading-edge research.  A recent facility expansion increased our capacity to 240 beds, with our Women’s Center operating an additional 68 beds.  The facility offers colorful decor, special play areas for children and a reassuring staff, trained to help take the focus off of pain and illness. Education and support services for families are also available, as are services for international patients.

Texas Kidney Institute

Specialists at the Texas Kidney Institute are on the frontline of disease management for kidney disorders, immunosuppressant research and surgical advances.    This specially trained, multidisciplinary team works with patients and their families to educate them about disease management and the transplant process.  The Institute has performed more than 2,500 kidney transplants since it was founded in 1977.
