
Fellowship in Female Urology and Urodynamics
The University of Texas Medical School Fellowship in Female Urology and Urodynamics is a one year clinical fellowship integrated with clinical research and formal clinical research didactics (Clinical Research Curriculum). The experience is divided between the Memorial Hermann Hospital and The Institute of Rehabilitation and Research (TIRR).
Candidates:
A qualified applicant must have completed an ACMGE approved residency in Urology or a foreign equivalent with appropriate documentation. A Texas license is unnecessary. All trainees are granted an Institutional permit under which they function under supervision of the attending physician.

Helen Zafirakis, M.D.
Helen Zafirakis, M.D. has a background in Neuro-urology, having obtained a Masters Degree in Urology from University College London in the United Kingdom. She is currently doing a clinical Fellowship in Female Urology and Urodynamics and her special interests lie in the areas of female pelvic dysfunction and reconstructive surgery. She is heavily involved in the clinical management of urinary incontinence and is undertaking clinical research in this area.
