THE MISSION

The Mission of the Controls and Utilities Department is to maintain the efficiency and reliability of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and associated controls.

DEPARTMENT INFORMATION

The Manager of Controls and Utilities is Mr. Mark E Ferguson (x2488). The Controls and Utilities Department consists of digital controls technicians and utility data analysts who specialize in laboratory and office controls, HVAC, energy, and utility consumption analysis.

Technicians respond to customer requests and concerns related to laboratory and office environments. Team members monitor, adjust, repair, install, maintain the building automation system (BAS), and analyze utility data to satisfy day-to-day customer environmental needs while minimizing utility costs campus wide.

There are no direct costs to building occupants for routine maintenance. For renovation work and office reconfigurations, project managers are assigned and the customer is normally responsible for funding.
