SUPERVISES: 

POSITION SUMMARY:

Develops employment opportunities which result in placement for the recovering population served by the Houston Recovery Campus (HRC). 

POSITION KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. Teaches Job Quest/readiness training to HRC clients.
  2. Develops employment opportunities within the public and private sectors of the community that results in jobs/placement for the population services at the HRC. 
  3. Prepares and conducts corporate and community presentations allowing for employment opportunities and/or placement for participating clientele.
  4. Develops and implements employment contracts that will place participating clientele into positions of employment.
  5. Other duties as assigned
CERTIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

Excellent written and verbal skills.

Computer literate – proficient in MS Word

MINIMUM EDUCATION:

High school degree of equivalent. Associate’s degree preferred.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

3 years of experience with a high school degree and 1 years of experience with an associates’ degree. Experience in placing individuals with disabilities preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.
