POSITION SUMMARY:

Oversees the public relations programs of the university which includes public relations, new media relations, legislative relations, publications, alumni relations and information office services.

POSITION KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. Coordinates Public Forums and President’s Executive Luncheons.
  2. Facilitates the President’s Executive Luncheons.
  3. Facilitates the Public Affairs Committees of the Board of  Development
  4. Manages Human Resources activities for direct reports in regards to: recruiting and selection, hiring and termination, training, professional development, mentoring, counseling, performance evaluations, and salary planning.  
  5. Responsible for the design, execution and effectiveness of a system of internal controls which provides reasonable assurance that operations are effective and efficient, assets are safeguarded; financial information is reliable and compliant with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
  6. Performs other duties as assigned.
CERTIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

Strong statistical and analytical skills, at the post graduate education level preferred. 

MINIMUM EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree preferred

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

10 years related experience in Public Affairs.
