POSITION SUMMARY:
Directs and provides leadership
in the management of activities and administration of a staff of professional
media producers.
POSITION KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Overall responsibility for managing
the creative specialties of Graphics Design, Illustration, Photography,
Marketing, Digital Imaging and Instrument Machine Work.

Maintains external relationships
with faculty and staff Health Science Center-wide.

Through weekly conferences with
section supervisors, reviews each section’s progress toward departmental
goals and provides guidance regarding levels of production, time and expense.

Develops procedures and programs
to keep track of productivity, inventory, scheduling, etc.

Develops the budget and has
control over all fiscal matters within the department.

Plans for the future structure
and needs of the department based on meeting the needs and plans of the
areas the Group serves.

Manages Human Resources activities
of the department in regards to: recruiting and selection, hiring and termination,
training, professional development, mentoring, counseling, performance
evaluations, and salary planning.

Responsible for the design,
execution and effectiveness of a system of internal controls which provides
reasonable assurance that operations are effective and efficient, assets
are safeguarded, financial information is reliable, and compliance with
applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures.

Performs other duties as assigned.
CERTIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
Five to ten years of management
level experience within a multi-discipline audiovisual production facility.
