SUPERVISES:
Three Contract Managers and support staff.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Organizes, maintains and manages the day-to-day operations of Food Service, Catering Service, Vending Services, Automatic Teller Machines (ATM), Travel Services and Marketing of Auxiliary Enterprises. Also administers the UT Houston Corporate Card.

POSITION KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. Meets daily with the three contract managers to facilitate operations; reviews, initiates, and implements marketing guidelines; reconciles accounts; processes personnel and financial transactions; compiles and runs reports; maintains time and attendance records of the contractual agreements; loads budget information in AUTOBUD system; and performs other special projects as required.
  2. Directs the operations of the Automatic Teller Machines and its financial productions and directs all marketing efforts for the all Auxiliary Enterprises areas (20 departments).
  3. Routinely gathers and compiles comparative and historical financial data; develops revenue and expense projections to be used in budget preparation; provides budget and account management for supervisor; and, reviews and transmits a variety of financial and other reports.
  4. Familiar with and knowledgeable about the institutional planning and resource allocation process, the biennial legislative budget process, the annual operating budget process, and the annual financial reporting process.
  5. Reviews all correspondence and responds to a variety of requests regarding the operations of delegated areas. Routes material to the appropriate office or individuals for handling.
  6. Oversees the integration and organization of information and materials into accurate and timely responses, plans and reports.
  7. Serves as coordinator and liaison between the Vice President for AE and the contracted services that support the overall financial and administrative functions of these contracted departments.
  8. Prepares communications to Corporate Card holders, responds to questions from card holders, and provides REPORTS TO: General Service Commission.
  9. Manages Human Resources activities of department in regards to: recruiting and selection, hiring and termination, training, professional development, mentoring, counseling, performance evaluations, and salary planning.
  10. Responsible for the design, execution and effectiveness of a system of internal controls which provides reasonable assurance that operations are effective and efficient, assets are safeguarded, financial information is reliable, and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
  11. Performs other duties as assigned.
CERTIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

Exceptional interpersonal, technical, and writing skills.

MINIMUM EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or related field is preferred; or its equivalent.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

Five years of experience in marketing, accounting or finance. Prefer one to three years experience in The University of Texas System.
