POSITION SUMMARY:
Directs, plans, designs,
develops, organizes, and coordinates the outcomes of the following divisions
of the Patient Services Department: Patient Registration, Switchboard/Communication,
Reception, Case Management, Dietary and Pharmacy.
POSITION KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Directs designated functions
including Case Management, Patient Registration, Reception, Switchboard/Communication,
Pharmacy, Dietary, and delegates day-to-day management of these areas to
the appropriate manager. Established a supportive reporting structure that
promotes collaboration between departments.

Meets regularly with managers
to help facilitate the operations they manage and receive input into changes
and/or initiatives they view as valuable.

Assesses achievement of goals
and objectives, and develops and implements pertinent policies and procedures
to achieve the mission of HCPC and ensure quality day-to-day operations
for delivery of patient care, education, and the conduct of research activities.

Monitors and assesses program
effectiveness, provides guidance on the resolution of policy issues, and
coordinates and reviews patient care issues to maintain a quality patient
care environment.

Participates in community, state
and national hospital associations and professional activities, which define
the delivery of operational support of quality patient care to enhance
the effectiveness and compliance of action and achievement of goals and
objectives.

Assess staff complement, problems,
assets and goals of each designated area of responsibility, and provides
direction to improve continuity of action and achievement of goals and
objectives.

Participates in the development
of strategic documents including the strategic plan, operating plan and
budgets and monitors and prepares reports for the Administrator and Executive
Director to provide information for decision making and a review of services
provided.

Organizes activities and operational
functions through appropriate departmentalization and delegation of duties
to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of administration in meeting
the short and long-term goals of HCPC.

Selects, motivates, conducts
annual performance reviews and develops staff members to continuously provide
high quality services and directs FTE allocation and controls actual versus
budgeted expenditures to ensure the efficient and effective utilization
of resources and operations of HCPC.

Examines the mission and philosophy
of the hospital and departments for congruity and compliance.

Manages Human Resources activities
for direct reports in regards to: recruiting and selection, hiring and
termination, training, professional development, mentoring, counseling,
performance evaluations, and salary planning.

Responsible for the design,
execution and effectiveness of a system of internal controls which provides
reasonable assurance that operations are effective and efficient, assets
are safeguarded, financial information is reliable and compliant with applicable
laws, regulations, policies and procedures.

Performs other duties as assigned.
CERTIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
Master’s degree with a clinical
focus. Management or administrative track of the clinical degree preferred.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
5 years of clinical experience
including 3 years of management experience.
