POSITION SUMMARY:
Plans, organizes, implements,
directs and evaluates the activities that support the HCPC's effective
day-to-day operation of the Distribution Center, Patient Escort, Transportation
Couriers, Ancillary Services, Reception and Switchboard.
POSITION KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Develops and implements written
goals and objectives and policies and procedures to ensure the efficient
and effective operation of the department consistent with regulatory and
accrediting agency standards.

Develops and implements programs
for timely completion of reports, audited and assigned task consistent
with regulatory and accrediting standards, departmental policy and federal,
state and institutional requirements.

Develops, negotiates, implements
and monitors contracts to support the multidisciplinary activities of the
department.

Develops and communicates staffing
schedule and evaluates staff performance and productivity to identify need
for staff changes, equipment allocations, staff development and work assignment
revisions.

Reviews goals and objectives
of department to ascertain status towards goals and resolves departmental
problems with available resources.

Coordinates, orients and monitors
staff to assure compliance to hospital and administrative personnel and
other appropriate policies and to standards of regulatory and accrediting
agencies.

Actively participates in quality
programs and investigates, evaluates and responds to services user input
and recommendations for change and improvement.

Participates on assigned committees
and keeps other appropriate departments informed of departmental activities
to maintain effective communication and cooperation with other healthcare
team members.

Manages Human Resources activities
for direct reports in regards to: recruiting and selection, hiring and
termination, training, professional development, mentoring, counseling,
performance evaluations, and salary planning.

Responsible for the design,
execution and effectiveness of a system of internal controls which provides
reasonable assurance that operations are effective and efficient, assets
are safeguarded, financial information is reliable and compliant with applicable
laws, regulations, policies and procedures.

Performs other duties as assigned.
CERTIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
CPR & PMC
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
Bachelors in a health related
field.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
5 years in a healthcare facility
including a minimum of 2 years experience with delivery of EKG, EEG, clinical
laboratory and/or radiology services in a hospital environment. Psychiatric
hospital background preferred.
