POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for identifying and researching
prospective and current donors for the University and compiling and reporting
information for potential development purposes. Coordinates the information
needs and strategy for donor prospects with Development Officers.
POSITION KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Works with the Development Officers to
identify key potential donors and develop a donor strategy.

Compiles research into reports for Development
Officers assigned to prospective donor and provides tracking information
on prospective donor through the process.

Attends UTHSC and community events in
an effort to become familiar with donor’s interests, acquaintances at UTH,
and preferred activities.

Responsible for the research development
budget and the allocation of those resources.

Provides research for Development Board
nominations and Development Board involvement.

Maintains accuracy of the records in the
prospect and donor database system.

Supports efforts within Development department
to meet fundraising goals and other Development objectives.

Writes formal proposal to acknowledge
donations.

Oversees research staff and assigns accountabilities
in support of effective and efficient operations of the area.

Manages Human Resources activities for
area of responsibility in regards to: recruiting and selection, hiring
and termination, training, professional development, mentoring, counseling,
performance evaluations, and salary planning.

Responsible for the design, execution
and effectiveness of a system of internal controls which provides reasonable
assurance that operations are effective and efficient, assets are safeguarded,
financial information is reliable, and compliance with applicable laws,
regulations, policies and procedures.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/SKILLS:
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree; emphasis on business,
or development prospect research preferred
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
Three years of related experience in
research and development
