POSITION SUMMARY:
Directs the community and
educational outreach activities. Serves as significant participant in all
strategic planning, business and program development.
POSITION KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Represents and serves as liaison
for the Office of the Vice President for Community and Educational Outreach
with community-based organizations and educational institutions.

Designs and develops programs
in educational outreach, distance learning, healthcare education and long-term
recruitment (K-16) of health professional students.

Designs, develops, manages and
obtains external funding for new educational outreach and research efforts
to evaluate the effectiveness of all programs of the office.

Develops, implements and controls
budgets for multiple programmatic efforts of the Office of the Vice President
for Community and Educational Outreach.

Manages Human Resources activities
for direct reports in regards to: recruiting and selection, hiring and
termination, training, professional development, mentoring, counseling,
performance evaluations, and salary planning

Responsible for the design,
execution and effectiveness of a system of internal controls which provides
reasonable assurance that operations are effective and efficient, assets
are safeguarded, financial information is reliable and compliant with applicable
laws, regulations, policies and procedures.

Perform other duties as assigned.
CERTIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
Masters of Public Health.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
Five years experience in
Academic Health Education and Community Outreach activities.
