Memorial Hermann Healthcare System

Source
Abby Mitchell Medical School

With combined assets exceeding $1 billion, the Memorial Hermann Healthcare System is the largest not-for-profit health care system in Texas. The Medical School’s primary clinical affiliate is Memorial Hermann Hospital, the flagship of the system. The system covers our region with a comprehensive network of primary care providers, community hospitals, tertiary hospitals and other health provision venues. Through this wide array of available clinical sites and practice options, the Medical School is identifying additional opportunities for its educational and clinical activities in concert with Memorial physicians and executives. A relationship with Memorial Hermann Memorial City Hospital has been established in which UT-Houston provides high-risk obstetric consultation – a similar program has been at Memorial Hermann Hospital Southwest for some time. The school also has begun providing value-added programs such as continuing medical education to the community-based physicians of the system. Such a program is underway at Memorial Hermann Hospital Southeast based on the educational wishes of the community physicians. Plans have been developed to do the same at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Hospital.
