Directions for Automated Class Summary Sheets

  1. Open the Excel file and look at the bottom of the page.
  2. Use the SAVE AS feature under FILE to save a copy of the excel sheet onto your hard drive.
  3. Once it is saved onto your hard drive, look at the bottom of the page.
  4. There are three tabs at the bottom of the page, make sure the tab with the correct administration window is highlighted in white.
  5. Type in your students' name.
  6. Type in each student's data from the Individual Student Record Sheet.
    1. Once you type in a score the form will automatically assign a D for a Developed score or a SD for a Still Developing score.
      1. If you type in a score that does not meet the Branching Rule criteria, the score will not appear in the cell after you hit Enter or Tab to move to the next cell.
    2. As the D or SD appears on the screen you will also notice that the Total SD and Percent SD (located at the bottom of the sheet) are automatically calculated.
    3. The first time you enter a Still Developing score within a portion of the Inventory, the remaining tasks within that portion will automatically be marked as Still Developing. At this point, only the SD icon will appear, not the numbers.
  7. When you type in the Accuracy Level (List., Inst., or Ind.) all three choices will appear. Type in the correct level and hit the spacebar to remove the other choices. Please see tip number two for an easier way to enter this information.
  8. Print the completed form and plan small group differentiated instruction as outlined in the Intervention Activities Guide found in the TPRI kit.
